Managing multiple organizations in Hearth as an MSP

How the MSP cohort fits together

If you are a managed service provider, your account is the parent, and each customer account is a sub-account underneath it. Hearth lets you work at two levels:

  • At the parent level, you can query and report across all of your sub-accounts at once.
  • At a single sub-account, you can work inside just that organization.

Use the organization switcher to move between the parent and any sub-account. You do not need to log out.

Cohort View

Cohort view gives you a single view across your sub-accounts. From the parent, you can ask a question once and have Hearth answer it across the cohort. For example, you can ask for a list of the sub-accounts that use a specific tool, and Hearth gathers the answer from each one.

Note: A broad cohort question does real work across every sub-account, so it can take longer than a single-account question.

Cohort Exposure

Cohort exposure runs the exposure view across your whole cohort. Hearth checks each sub-account and brings the results together, so you can see risk across all of your customers in one place.

Taking action across the cohort

When the pulse or an investigation recommends a response, Hearth can take action in a sub-account's connected tools. As with a single organization, Hearth always asks for your confirmation first, and nothing happens automatically.
