Overview
Every chat you have with Hestia, which is Hearth's AI security analyst, is saved as a conversation for your tenant. The Conversations page is where you find those chats again. You can browse them, search by title, pick one back up where you left off, rename or delete them, share a link to one, or export a full transcript. Conversations are the dialogue that produce artifacts, which you can find on the Artifacts page.
How it works
A conversation is a saved thread of your dialogue with Hestia, scoped to one workspace. As you chat, Hearth keeps two things: the messages you see, and the context Hestia needs to keep the thread coherent when you return to it. Each conversation carries a title, who started it, when it was last touched, and a link to any artifacts (investigations, reports, dashboards, etc.) that Hestia created during the chat.
Conversations are strictly scoped to individual workspaces. A conversation from one workspace is never reachable from another. When you open one, its transcript loads back into Home so you can continue the same thread.
Anything Hestia proposes during a conversation, such as an action, an automation, or a change, is a proposal for a person to review. Hestia never acts on its own.
Using Conversations
To review and manage your existing conversations, do the following:
- In Hearth, navigate to Conversations.
- (Optional) Click Mine to filter the conversation list to the chats you created or type in the Filter by title… box to search. Click Load more if it isn't on the first page.
- Click a row to reopen that conversation in Home, and you can keep chatting in the same thread.
From the ⋯ actions menu, you can rename, copy a shareable permalink, and export the transcript as HTML, JSON, or Markdown.
Deleting a conversation
You can delete a conversation from the ⋯ actions menu. If the conversation created artifacts, the confirmation shows an "Also delete the N artifact(s)" checkbox that is checked by default. Leave it checked to remove them too, or uncheck to keep them (they will show "conversation deleted"). Deleted artifacts are soft-deleted (restorable), not purged.
